Oznei Aman's Cakes
Oznei Aman's recipe which your mother wouldn't make... translated with the help of Matthew and Sarah.
This is a variation (or a violation) of the traditional recipes, which requires many hours of slaveryat the oven. This will only take you a few minutes.
1 box of vanilla cake mix for 6 people
1 cup of flour
2 eggs
2 spoonfuls of water
Filling: It could be apricot, strawberry jam, plum or just poppy seeds. It depends what you can find in the supermarket.
Whisk together the cake mix, flour, eggs and water until the mixture is smooth. Roll the dough out (over a little flour so that it doesn't stick) to a thickness of less than 1/2 cm. Cut it into 5cm wide circles. Put a spoonful of the filling in the middle; markthree sides to make a triangle. Fold three of the sides towards the centre making sure the edges overlap completely. Sprinkle it lightly with water if necessary. Put them on greaseproof paper (or in a greased tray). Bake them at 375 degrees [I guess this is farenheit] (medium heat) for 6-8 minutes, or until they brown - and enjoy them.
